Am Ardey erinnert seit dem 16. September 1910 an die letzten Ausläufer des Ardeygebirges, die hier in Rellinghausen auslaufen. Die kurze Stichstraße begrenzt den Ardeyplatz an seiner Westseite. Bis 1910 trug sie den Namen Marktstraße.
